Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup baker's sugar
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation:
Whisk together egg yolks and sugar until creamy. Heat half-and-half to scalding, remove from heat, and slowly pour into egg yolk mixture, whisking steadily to combine. Return sauce to pan and heat over medium burner until warm.
Can be served warm or chilled with cakes, fruit, pastries, or ice cream.
Yield: 1 cup almond sauce.
